How does the lock not work well? Are you just tapping it quickly? I lay my whole finger across the lines and hold it for a moment, and it works.
Mine doesn’t do anything. Sometimes if I touch it and start walking away, it will lock, but it never locks while I’m still at the car.

I just tap and hold until I hear the car lock, then walk away.
The smart trunk can be finicky. If you’re standing too close after you kick, it won’t open because of the proximity sensors. Try stepping back a bit.
Do you have dirt or dust on the door handles? Mine work beautifully; I barely need to tap them. Experiences may vary.
For the memory seat, try resetting both options and reprogramming them. If that doesn’t work, visit your dealership for help.
Not sure about Pixel connections, but my family’s iPhones auto-connect every time unless I remote start the car while the phone is out of range. Do you often connect your Bluetooth to something else outside of the vehicle?
I’ll experiment more with the trunk. Thanks for the tip!
The door handles are clean. It’s been like this since day one. Might be a manufacturing issue.
I’ll give reprogramming the seat another try and report back.
I’ve tried everything with the phone. New phones, ensuring it’s not connected to anything else, only having one phone synced. I’m confident it’s the car. It’s really annoying.
For locking, it’s a one-second touch on the square area. A mistake I made was grabbing the handle and trying to lock with my thumb. It doesn’t work when it senses both unlock (from grabbing the handle) and lock from the thumb touch. Better to just touch it with a finger for about a second.
When I have Android connection issues, I try reconnecting from the media screen. If that doesn’t work, I restart the media screen by holding down the volume button, and then toggle Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on my phone while it reboots.
Also, with the rear hatch kick sensor, if you’re standing too close, it won’t work. The proximity sensors might detect you being too close. Try stepping back a bit and try again.

Thanks! Now I might not look silly in the grocery store parking lot.
If you use a wired connection for Android Auto or CarPlay, it should work better. Also, with an iPhone, you don’t need to connect via Bluetooth when wired. I have the same phones, and they work well when plugged in.
@Hadley
Wired is better, but less convenient. My wife and I both have Pixels, and our '24 was giving us a hard time. Setting one phone as ‘primary’ didn’t help. We finally set up her phone for wireless Android Auto and mine for wired only, and that seems to have solved the problem.
