2022 model... time for new tires already?

Not even at 40k miles yet. Any suggestions for good tires?

CC2s are the way to go. I’ve got them on my 2021 and 2024 models.

Absolutely agree. If you get rain or snow where you live, they’re unbeatable. I hit the ski slopes almost every weekend in winter and have never had to use chains, even though I carry them. Got CC2s on both my Venza and my wife’s Highlander.

Funny enough, my coworkers noticed and now three cars parked near mine also have CC2s because I keep recommending them.

Just switched to Cross Climate 2s after 43k miles on my 2021 XLE. The stock Ecopias weren’t great.

The dealership warned me my 2021 tires might only last 30k miles. They explained why the stock tires are so bad, but I didn’t really get it. Seems like everyone here recommends CC2s though.

If they said anything other than ‘to save Toyota money,’ they were just making stuff up.

I got 36k miles out of my stock tires and recently switched to Michelin Defender 2s.

I’ve had Defenders too. They’re solid.

I’m planning to get those as well since we don’t get snow here.

CC2s for sure. Ours have 48k miles on them and still aren’t even halfway worn. They’re super quiet and perform great year-round.

Getting CC2s next week. My Ecopias only have 20k miles but I need something better for winter. I don’t know what to do with the old ones since they’ve probably got 15k miles left in them. No plans to reuse them though.

Hoping CC2s live up to the hype.

I’m amazed my partner got 65k miles out of their stock tires on their RAV4. Most people barely get 45k.

I’m at 45k on my stock tires. I could probably stretch them another two years to the wear mark, but I’ll change them next year. I think it’s down to my driving habits—mostly highway, minimal braking, coasting a lot, and being gentle on corners and ramps. I also rotate the tires every 5k miles and check air pressure monthly.

They keep putting these same tires on all the new vehicles I’ve owned, though, so it might be my fifth set by now.

40k miles on stock tires is risky. Time to switch.

Check out Big O Tires.

I’ve got the same year and trim. Switched to Michelin Defender 2s at 29k miles. Stock tires were awful.

How much do CC2s cost?
