3rd gen after new seats and carpet… what do you think?

I spent my weekend working on the seats and carpet. Next, I’m planning to tackle the door panels, center console, steering wheel, and headliner. What do you all think so far?

Looking nice!

Can we have more info about the seats?

I went with a Katzkin kit for $800 and installed them myself. I had to reshape the foam a bit, but it wasn’t too hard.

They look really good! Would be awesome if you could update us on comfort and quality after a few months!

@Page
I’ll keep posting updates on everything I do to the vehicle. Got some big plans for it!

I had Katzkin leather in a car for 4 years and 60k miles, and the seats held up really well. I had pocket knives in my back pockets, and they still looked good after all that time.

Wow, how difficult was the install? I spent $200 on custom seat covers, but maybe that wasn’t the best choice.

That center console… :sweat_smile: Looks like a lot of work, but the seats are awesome!

Yeah, I’m planning to rewrap it soon. Just figuring out exactly what I want to do with it!

What kind of seats/cover did you use?

Why not wrap it with the same leather as the seats?

@Miller
I’m going to, but I think I’ll make the sides of the lid black since the headrests have black sides as well.

Cool, it’s coming along great!

Great work, the person who posted this! Where did you get the seats?

I went with Katzkin, best value for custom seat covers.

I don’t understand why people fix up old cars instead of just buying something newer. But I respect the effort; you must really love this car!

Some of us remember the ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program.

Some people enjoy working on their cars. They don’t make them like they used to!

Don’t disrespect your elders, especially the 3rd gen! They’re the most respected!
