The Alphard has those amazing second-row seats that feel like business class. I’m surprised other cars don’t have something like that as an option.
It all depends on what you need. They’re completely different cars. The Alphard is pure luxury, while the Land Cruiser is something you’ll need to work on to keep going, but it’ll turn heads for sure. I’d pick the LC any day.
One thing’s for sure, the wife and kids won’t enjoy the LC70 like they would the Alphard.

The Alphard’s interior is way better than the Land Cruiser’s. I drive a Land Cruiser GR, and I’m jealous of my friends’ vans. But if you really need something the Alphard can’t do, go ahead and switch.
The Land Cruiser is built for off-roading, not city driving. People think it’s bulletproof, but so is a Camry. Off-roading means actual terrain, not just flat ground.
I hope it’s not an even trade. The Land Cruiser is worth more, but it does look cooler.
I think both cars are cool. If you’re happy with the trade, then it was the right decision.
The Alphard is great. Too bad they don’t sell it in North America.
After visiting Japan, all I can say is, why can’t we get the Alphard in the US? I’d trade two Land Cruisers for one!
I’m from the US and have never seen an Alphard before, but damn, that thing is one of the best-looking vans I’ve ever seen. Land Cruisers are great too, but unless you’re off-roading, I’d stick with the Alphard.

Well, there’s less to break on the LC, and its resale value is awesome.
I can’t imagine using the LC70 as a daily driver. It’d be tough to live with something like that every day.
