Anyone else dealing with sun glare from the truck hood… is it dangerous?

I’ve been having a problem with sun glare coming off the ‘valley’ of the Tundra’s hood. At the right angle, it’s pretty blinding and feels dangerous. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s been my biggest disappointment so far.

I just noticed this today, 3rd day of owning it. The glare is super blinding.

I’m dealing with the same thing. It’s so annoying. I’m thinking about getting the edges wrapped with matte vinyl. Have you found a fix yet?

Yeah, I just keep my truck dirty to avoid the glare.

I ran a 4" strip of vinyl across the inside bottom of the windshield. I was tired of seeing a crack from a rock. It solved the glare issue too. It was a bit tricky to install, but it’s worth it. I love how I don’t see the hood anymore. Looks like it was meant to be there.

Just buy sunglasses. That should help.

You could try tinting your windshield.

I agree, it’s blinding. Maybe try these: https://www.kinderfluff.com/sun-shades/

Thanks, but I don’t think I can put that on the front windshield. I’ve ordered some flat black vinyl to fix the problem.

@Crystal_Cherry
These are removable. You can move them around when needed, and they cling to the surface without causing any issues. It’s like a kid’s shade, but with clingy film for easy attachment. I use them in my airplane. Not affiliated, just sharing what works for me. Good luck!

I’m waiting on my new Arctic White. It sounds like I might need to get the hood wrapped.
