I recently traded my '22 Chevy Silverado for a '25 Tundra SR5 with the TRD package. Didn’t plan on buying a Tundra but after test driving it, I loved the acceleration, handling, and overall design, especially the simple interior. However, the honeymoon phase was short-lived (1-2 days) when I noticed a hitching when backing out of my driveway and going up a slight incline. This only happens about 90% of the time under these circumstances. If I go up the incline directly or pull out anywhere else, it doesn’t happen. Is this something I should be worried about? I’ve scheduled an appointment to get the transmission looked at.
My '24 does the same thing, but only in the mornings when the truck is cold. My Kia does this too. I found that letting the truck warm up for about 120 seconds in park before driving helps fix it.

I’ll give this a try!

Weird, a Toyota tech actually told me you should wait two minutes before driving, but I never thought much of it until now.
I don’t see the video?

Can you see it now?

Yes. Does the hitching happen when the transmission shifts after you take off?

Yes, it happens just a few seconds after I start pulling out and shifting into drive.
@Willow
I have the same truck. That’s definitely odd. I’ll keep an eye on mine, but in my uneducated opinion, that doesn’t seem normal.

I’ve scheduled an appointment for Saturday. Hopefully, I’ll get an update or resolution then. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes!
I don’t see anything abnormal in the video. I can’t even tell where the hitch is happening. My '22 sometimes does a little thing when shifting between reverse and drive or vice versa, but that’s usually just the backlash of the pinion gear shifting from one side to the other.
