I was thinking of getting a Toyota Avalon, but I wanted to hear from actual owners first. How’s the ride quality? Any regrets or things you wish you knew before buying? Also, how does it compare to a Lexus ES? Appreciate any insights
I got a 2022 Avalon Limited a few months back, and I love it. The ride is super smooth, almost like a luxury car. No regrets at all

That’s good to hear. I was debating between the Avalon and the ES350. Any major differences
@TomHarris
I have driven both. The Avalon is almost as comfortable, but the ES350 has a bit more premium feel. The price difference might not be worth it unless you really want the Lexus badge
@TomHarris
I went with the Avalon over the ES350 because of the value. The Avalon has most of the same features but costs less. The ride quality is about the same
I have the Avalon Hybrid. It’s been great on gas and rides well. The only thing I don’t love is the infotainment system. It feels a bit outdated

I agree. The infotainment system could be better. The screen feels a bit laggy at times

I thought the same at first, but once I got used to it, it’s not too bad. Apple CarPlay helps
I had an older Avalon and recently upgraded to the 2021 model. The newer one has better tech, but I kind of miss the older design. It felt more solid

That’s interesting. I was thinking of getting a used one instead of a new model. Do you think the older one is better

The older ones were built a little tougher, but the newer models have better fuel efficiency and tech. It depends on what you’re looking for
I have the V6 model and it has plenty of power. It’s a smooth ride, but I wish the transmission was a little quicker when downshifting

I noticed that too. Sometimes it hesitates before shifting. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I wish it was a little snappier

I read somewhere that Toyota tunes it that way for fuel efficiency. I guess it’s a trade-off
I just got a used 2019 Avalon and it’s been great so far. It’s comfortable and quiet on the highway

How’s the fuel economy on the 2019 model? I’m considering one and trying to decide between the hybrid and the V6

I have the 2019 hybrid. It gets great mileage, but the acceleration isn’t as strong as the V6. If you care about fuel economy, it’s worth it
