Anyone know where to find textured front trim for a 2018 Camry SE?

I’m restoring the front end on my 2018 Camry SE, but all the trim I’m finding comes in a glossy black finish. The original trim on my car has more of a flat or satin texture. I’d like to match it as closely as possible. Has anyone come across a supplier that sells the textured version?

I ran into the same issue. Ended up getting mine from a local dealership, but it wasn’t cheap. You might have luck checking aftermarket suppliers.

Yeah, I figured the dealership would have it, but I was hoping for a cheaper option. Do you remember how much you paid?

It was around $250 just for the lower grille trim. Kinda painful, but at least it matched perfectly.

You could try sanding down the gloss trim and applying a matte or satin clear coat. Might not be exactly the same texture, but it could get you close.

That’s an idea. Do you know if the texture is just a coating or if it’s actually molded into the trim?

@JamesHenry
Pretty sure it’s just a coating. I did something similar on my last car, and it turned out decent. Just prep it well so the new finish sticks.

Have you checked online Toyota parts stores? Some of them list different finish options.

I’ve looked at a few, but they all seem to show the glossy finish in their pictures. Might need to call and confirm before ordering.

Yeah, I’d double-check. Sometimes the stock photos aren’t accurate, and they actually have the textured one.

If you’re not in a rush, maybe check salvage yards? You could find an OEM part in good shape for way less than the dealership price.

That’s a solid suggestion. I’ll start calling around. Thanks!

There’s a seller on eBay that sometimes lists textured trim pieces. I grabbed a set for my 2019 Camry a few months ago. Might be worth checking.

Good tip. I’ll do a search and see if I can find anything.
