Anyone run old Rays Gramlights on a 2014 Outback?

Hey all, I’ve got a set of early 2000s Rays Gramlights 57C wheels. They’ve been cleaned up and rebalanced, and I’ve had them on my Subaru BRZ.

Thinking about switching to a 2014 Outback, and I’m not sure if these wheels can handle the extra weight.

They’re 17" and 5x100. I haven’t found anything clear about their load rating.

I would appreciate any help from someone who knows more about this stuff.

They won’t fit. I’m pretty sure the Outback uses a different bolt pattern.

Nah, they’re 5x100 — they should bolt right up. The only thing you might need to check is the offset.

@Vic
Thing is, I’ve seen both numbers listed online — some say 5x100, others 5x114. I’m looking at a 4th gen Outback.

You should look at this page: Subaru Outback - Specs of rims, tires, PCD, offset for each year and generation | Wheel-Size.com

@Tavi
Wait a second… did they change the bolt pattern right between 2013 and 2014?

Nah, that site shows production years. Outbacks from 2010 to 2014 all use 5x100. It switches to 5x114.3 in 2015. So your wheels will go on fine — just double-check your tire size.

What about the other 5 holes around the hub? Are those just for looks or something?

Those holes go through the wheel but they’re just to save some weight — not for mounting.

Oh, I didn’t realize those were multi-pattern wheels.

@Asher
Yeah I’ve seen both types — some have actual dual bolt patterns, others just have holes that don’t line up for anything.
