I actually think the new one looks way better. The old gen’s headlights were just too much for me.

I had a 2023 Sequoia Platinum in Supersonic Red. It was okay, but it got compliments all the time. I have a Midnight Black one now.
The black fenders and a couple of items helped tone down the red.
@Devi
What happened to the red one? Was there a recall?

No recall for the hybrid V6. I traded it in because I didn’t want to deal with any potential issues.

Makes sense. I’ve only seen the bad experiences shared on this forum, so I was curious.
@YukiJane
I am on my second 3rd generation Sequoia and enjoy driving both of them. I wish the gas tank was bigger, full-time 4WD was offered, less plastic in the interior, better battery placement so the cargo area wasn’t so high. But very satisfied with both so far. This is my current one.
I had a 2024 4Runner Limited 4WD for a few months and didn’t really care for it.
I think it looks great. People are just too negative.

No way. The front end looks awful, and they keep making these things bigger.

Toyota earned the criticism with this design.
Hey, it looks pretty sharp to me.

Is the ‘sharp’ in the room with us right now?
Does anyone else think it looks like an English bulldog?
The color is okay, but I think it could use more contrast. Maybe black TRD rims or accents would improve the look.

Honestly, this doesn’t even compare to older models when it comes to durability. The new tech is reliable enough, but it doesn’t have that same long-term Toyota reputation yet.

My nav screen on my 2015 Land Cruiser failed. It was $1k to repair, so I’m wary of new tech.
I’m not a fan of the red.

Funny, I usually hate red too, but this one actually works for me.
That hatch handle is huge.
The whole design feels unfinished.
It looks bloated, like it’s on steroids.
