Anyone upgrading wheels on their 100 series Land Cruiser?

I recently got my first Land Cruiser a few months back, and it’s currently running with 285/75 r16 BF Goodrich ko3 tires. I’m thinking about upgrading the wheels… anyone got any suggestions?

@Rylan
What lift is on there? I have the same wheels and tires, but mine feels a little low for the tires without a lift.

It doesn’t look like there’s any lift from the picture. Looks like the running boards are removed, but it has +2 tires.

@Macon
Yeah, maybe it’s just the running boards. I didn’t notice they were gone. It does look good without them, but I like having them.

It’s a Fox suspension. It was supposed to be 2.5 inches, but I think it’s closer to just under 2, maybe 1.75 inches. The running boards are removed with Slee sliders.

Not many options, but check out 5x150. SCS and Nomad come to mind.

Options are limited, and most of the fitments are aimed at Tundras rather than Land Cruisers. Another issue is the tall hubs on Land Cruisers. You might run into problems with the center bore size or no center caps on the front wheels. Method used to offer the MR706 with tall center caps specifically for Land Cruisers, but I think they’ve discontinued it.

I prefer my stock 16-inch wheels.

Very clean.

Just my $0.02 – really think about how much off-road use you’re planning. If you’re considering going from 16" to 18" (the two common sizes for this vehicle), a bigger wheel means a thinner tire sidewall. That extra 1" of sidewall could make a big difference between a harsh bump and a wheel-denting crunch if you get into some tough terrain.

Nomad.

The OEM 16-inch wheels really look best, in my opinion.
