I’d stick with Toyota, but if you go somewhere else, definitely not Walmart.
Why not Walmart? I’ve never taken my car to a dealership and never had an issue.
Seen too many horror stories—things like techs forgetting to tighten the oil plug or missing lug nuts. When you go to a dealer, you get genuine Toyota oil and a full check-up. If something’s wrong, they’ll tell you. Plus, having a service record at the dealer helps with resale value.

Would you rather have a kid at Walmart change your oil or a Toyota tech?

Dealerships don’t have top-tier mechanics doing oil changes either. It’s still a young lube tech.

@robertson
The dealer I work at hires trained mechanics from the T-10 program.

Plenty of young techs at Toyota dealers too. Service has been expensive and inconsistent, that’s why I asked.

Dealers also check for recalls and updates, which independent shops can’t do.

Master mechanics aren’t the ones changing your oil at a dealership, it’s still the lube techs.

Learn how to change it yourself, saves money in the long run. Buy filters from the dealership and you’re set.

Would love to, just don’t have the space for it.
Walmart or quick lube places are a gamble. Either do it yourself or find a solid independent mechanic.
