Before and After

Looks sharp in black!

Do you have a dash cam? That’s a great and relatively cheap mod to consider.

I don’t have one. I’m pretty uneducated on them, so I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks!

@Finian
r/dashcam is a great resource to start with. They have guides and all that. I’m thinking of getting one soon too. Just a heads up, a good one is usually over $300 from what I remember when I last checked.

@Rylan
Thanks for the info!

Auto claims adjuster here.

You can get dual cameras, but at a minimum, people like the Viofo A119.

I’m a lurker in Highlander but I think a dash cam is super important. Also, make sure to know your insurance policy.

Check if anyone’s excluded, and look at your deductibles and liability coverages.

I just ordered a set of their rogue tail lights yesterday! Can’t wait to get them installed. Your rig looks sharp!

Good deal! Thank you!

Might be a dumb question, but are they legal everywhere? I got pulled over when I was 17 for blacked-out tail lights and never thought about that mod again.

Good point! Actual blacked-out tail lights can be illegal, but these are just a legal tint (at least where I live) because they have bright running lights when the truck is on and very visible brake lights.

I might be that guy, but I think it’s silly to put American flags on Toyotas.

Especially on a Toyota made in Japan.

It’s ironic, though. A high percentage of Toyota components are actually made in America (like Denso, for example).

When you get a chance, could you check if your reverse lights are drastically different? I’ve been on the fence about swapping my rear taillights after hearing one person say they can’t see well at night while backing up. That would be a serious dealbreaker for me since I do a lot of night driving off-road in areas where backing into a ditch would be dangerous.

ETA: I know it’s a weird thing to ask, but it’s important to me.

@Ozzie
Take this with a grain of salt since I can’t speak to the off-roading aspect, but I can say that these are actually slightly brighter than my OEM ones. They show up well on my reverse cam and through my tinted windows, at least in my city where there are no streetlights on driveways or country roads!

Damn, those are sexy! :heart_eyes:

Appreciate it!

Yes! I ordered mine and I’m just waiting for them to arrive.

How did you black out your emblems? I’ve seen a lot of kits and overlays online, but I’m not sure which one to choose.

There’s a good kit on Amazon I looked at, but I ended up going to a local decal shop for about $70.
