Big thanks to Toyota for keeping me safe yesterday!

Looks like a serious impact! I bet the car took the worst of it, but the interior’s probably untouched. Sad to see it go.

I just have a few bruises and some soreness, but I’m totally fine! The car really took the hit. I’m definitely going to miss it, but I plan on getting another one.

What exactly happened?

So, I was driving home after work at about 45MPH on a kind of highway, and this lady tried to take a left from a side road on my right. She pulled out right in front of me, hoping to beat the traffic. I couldn’t stop in time and ended up hitting her rear wheel. My car spun a couple of times before it finally stopped.

@Jacob
I tried to brake and turn the wheel, which probably saved me a bit since I hit on the side instead of head-on.

Wow, side impacts can be super dangerous! You’re lucky. Now, you’ve got a great excuse to treat yourself to a new 2025 Camry!

So, you getting a new car after insurance settles?

Yeah, I think I’ll just get another Camry!

You should try an Avalon. Trust me, you’ll love it!

@Ciel
I loved my Avalon so much!

I’ve driven both the Avalon and the ES350. The Avalon is like a lighter ES—more agile, not as bulky.

I have both a 2015 Avalon and a 2017 ES350. They share the same engine and transmission. The Lexus is quieter and has nicer interiors, but the Avalon feels quicker and handles better. Both are great, but I’d happily buy either again!

@Ciel
Totally agree! I checked out both the ES and Avalon. I got a 2013 Avalon, and it feels just as nice for way less money.

If you want a fun ride, check out Lexus’s F models, like the ISF. They’re not as hyped as BMW or Benz, but they’re great for everyday driving with just the right amount of power.

Another Camry is a solid choice.

I lost my 2010 Camry in a bad wreck too (truck ran a red light). Walked away with just a scratch. Bought another Camry because of how safe it felt. Glad you’re okay too!

For the next car, definitely invest in a dash cam!
