Yeah, it happens, my dude. Hope it’s a simple fix.
I bought a new Corolla '24. It had engine lights on, and they ended up replacing the injection coils. I only had it for 3 weeks!
You bought it a month ago! But it’s used!!! What did you expect??? Always buy new, my friend!!!

What a brain-dead comment.

You’re the one with a dead brain . It’s common sense! People buy used cars and expect them to be good? Do you know that 98% of the population doesn’t do maintenance as required? Who’s the no-brainer here??? People that buy used cars are mostly no-brainers!!! #Sorrynotsorry

First and last time, my friend! Next car will be leased. Needed a car to get my credit established and bought from a well-known dealer in my area, so it’s just confusing. Will update when I have a resolution.
I had this pop up on my 2019. Just turned it off, waited, and turned it back on. It was just a glitch.
If you don’t have a scanner, go to AutoZone and tell them to pull the codes. Then you’ll know what’s wrong with it. Could be as simple as a MAF sensor held on by screws. Could be more. No way to know without the codes.
Yeah, I had a similar issue. Rodents chewed my battery harness back in 2022, and I had to wait a whole month because the part was back-ordered. Anyway, I bought this little device that only rodents can hear, and it’s been working for the past 2 years when it gets cold.
@Evans
What’s the device called?
To avoid rodents after they chewed the wires on my Honda Accord and caused my lights not to come on, I spray around my car with ammonia when I get out. I keep the bottle in the trunk, and it works.
For some reason, my battery cable was loose. I just tightened it up.
I had this happen on my wife’s 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback SE. I would reset the battery, but after a couple of days, it would come back. I decided to go to AutoZone and use their scanner, and it popped out a code (P0101) about the MAF sensor being defective. I cleaned it with MAF cleaner from AutoZone ($12), reinstalled it, reset the battery, and it’s been working ever since. I was told I’d need a new MAF sensor ($280). If your car has a rough idle and your fuel mileage is decreasing, and if you scan it and that code pops up with a check engine light, start there.
I had the same message pop up. I noticed it goes on and off depending on my gas level sometimes. O’Reilly’s said mine was an issue with an O2 sensor. I think I got some dirty gas while traveling, and that’s causing the issue.
I had this happen, and it was rodent damage. Some wires were chewed. Unfortunately, rodent damage isn’t covered by the warranty; not sure about insurance, but I ended up having to pay.

Geico covers rodent damage; at least they did for me… twice.
Rodent damage? Get it checked out by another mechanic to double-check. Maybe they’re messing with you.
