Can you still negotiate car prices now?

I’m looking to buy a Camry, and my local dealerships finally have some in stock. Is there any room for negotiation, or are dealers still holding firm on sticker prices?

I live in a cold area, and it’s been freezing for weeks. Do your local dealerships have stock, or has bad weather kept people from shopping? Thanks.

I recently bought a 2025 XLE & got $2,700 off MSRP.

It’s always worth asking. Try emailing a few dealerships and ask for their best price. End of the month is usually a good time to negotiate.

I got mine for $1,500 less than MSRP, plus they threw in their top warranty for free. Always something to haggle over if you’re willing to push a little.

Got $1,200 off MSRP on a 2025 LE AWD in the Northeast USA.

Picked up my 2025 Camry LE in Minnesota.

Three weeks ago, I emailed them about one they had listed as ‘in the build phase’ and asked for their best price. They immediately offered $1,800 off.

Stock is limited, especially for LEs. The dealer had four listed, and three sold before even arriving.

Toyota is dropping its largest allocation since the pandemic in February 2025. Find the biggest volume dealers near you and negotiate. Try for 5–10% off MSRP.

Yes, there’s room to negotiate.

Got a 2025 SE for $34,500. It was originally marked up to $38,000, but I spent a month negotiating. Probably could have gotten it lower, but I was in a rush.

What was the sticker price?

@Xavi
MSRP was $33,580, but mine had a few add-ons, so it was a little higher.

You can always try. Some dealers are more flexible on specific models or colors that don’t sell fast. I was looking at a Camry XSE, and the best deal I got was $40k out the door with JBL. Didn’t buy it because I wasn’t a fan of the front bumper.

Try TrueCar and Costco Auto Program.

Depends on how much demand there is in your area.

We got $2,500 off a 2025 SE. Seemed like it was because it was the end of the month.

How much did you end up paying?

There is room to negotiate. The dealerships I visited were eager to sell.

You should always try. Whether or not it’s a deal worth taking is up to you.

Got an XLE last month. Always negotiate and get multiple dealers competing for your business.

End of the month is the best time since dealers want to hit their sales targets. If you’re not in a rush, waiting until just before the 2026 models come out might get you a better deal on a 2025.

Probably not much room, but can’t hurt to ask. You might have better luck negotiating on a Honda Accord.
