Since the top trim Ram 2500 is around $105k, I’m wondering if the price of something like this makes sense, even in truck-heavy areas like Alberta where the big three are still super popular.
Anyone dropping 100k on a Taco must be out of their mind.

That checks out. If you can afford that in this economy, you’re definitely hustling somewhere.

They must be selling something on the side too. How else can you afford it?

Yo mama must be buying that stuff too.

Way too expensive.
Hey, it’s raising the value of my gen3. I almost wish they were priced even higher!
A lot of hype around it. The price is definitely inflated, but people are clearly still buying. If demand drops, prices will too, but it’s still way overpriced compared to something like the Ranger Raptor.

Yeah, looks like Ranger Raptors are going for $82-85k CAD, and I bet they’re more fun with their desert running capabilities.

How much do you think they’ll be worth in a couple years?

The Ranger Raptor’s depreciation can’t be as bad as the huge hit you’ll take by paying so far above MSRP on the trailhunter.

Exactly! I’ve got an ‘07 Tacoma, but I’m not paying over MSRP whenever I decide to upgrade.

Same here. I’m going to baby my truck until it’s on life support.

I’ve got a 2009 model, and I’m keeping up with regular maintenance so it lasts as long as possible.

They must’ve been so much cheaper back then. Let’s hope we end up like those old guys still driving the same truck for 30 years!

Yeah, I paid $33k back then. I’m glad I kept it in good shape. It’s simple, has a tow package, and barely any electronics to break down. I’d be happy driving it till it’s rust.

I didn’t used to be. I planned to upgrade this year, but now I’m thinking I’ll keep it going until it’s truly time. It’s become a challenge to drive it as long as possible!

Same here, I’ve got a 2004 4Runner with 175k miles, garaged and modded. Might pick up a 2nd-gen TRD soon.

The trailhunter isn’t going to hold its value either. Look at all the modded Tacomas out there, it’s basically the same thing.

Who cares? I keep my trucks for at least 5-10 years anyway.
