@Rylan
No.
I’ve had the same light combo pop up, plus the 4Lo light sometimes. It’s off and on. I can still use all the drive modes and when I clear the codes, they don’t always come back. I’m at 130k miles though. Honestly, I’d just clear the codes and if they come back, take it to a non-dealer shop. If it’s still driving fine, probably not the whole transmission.
Yeah, honestly you could have triggered something with the sub. I work on heavy-duty trucks, and they’ve got even more sensors and modules—tons of false alarms. I see codes for stuff like ‘abnormal update rate’ all the time. Scan it, save the codes, clear them, and see if they come back.
@Barbara
Dang, okay. I was playing a bass-boosted song with the windows up, then I saw the CEL come on. Is there a way to keep using my subs without messing stuff up? Maybe just keep the windows down?
Honestly, sounds like it could be the park/neutral safety switch. That’s a common issue, especially in rust-prone areas. And no way they’re really replacing your whole trans for that.

I’ve heard of that switch too, but I’m in Florida so not much rust here. My advisor told me they don’t open transmissions at all—just swap them for new ones.
