Damn… how did that even happen?
@Shannon
wild.

Wait, what?? Both at the same time? What did you hit? Were these the factory tires?

Yep, both went at once after I hit something in a construction zone on the interstate. These were the original factory tires. I reached out to the dealership, but I didn’t have a tire warranty. I wanted to replace them with the same ones, but they were backordered for weeks. It ended up being way more of a hassle than I expected.

Man, that’s some terrible luck. First the tires, now the dealership messing up your car. Hope you get some good news soon!

If the construction zone caused the blowout, you might be able to file a claim with the city or county for the damages.

Obviously, they have to fix the damage, but what about the lost value? Even after repairs, your car will be worth less if it shows up on the report. Ask for compensation!
Toyota Care does free tire rotations every 6 months for the first 2 years. Might’ve just been that.
I’d be asking for a new car.

LOL no way they’re giving a whole new car for just a front bumper and hood

Yup. I work at a dealership—unless they totaled it, they’re fixing it. Seen it happen before, but the car had to be really wrecked for them to replace it.

You won’t get a new car, but demanding one might get you extra compensation.

I agree!
Contact a lawyer. You might not get a new car, but you should get compensation for the diminished value. I wouldn’t settle for just repairs.

You can dream.

Diminished value is legit. The car isn’t worth the same now. They need to pay up.
