Do you think my 03 Avalon can handle the drive from San Diego to Big Bear Lake and back?

Highway miles are usually the easiest on a car. Make sure to check your fluids and tire pressure before you leave. Oil check when you fuel up.

It’s been waiting its whole life for this kind of drive.

Auto bots, roll out.

Probably no problem. I drive my 06 a hundred or two every day. Not exactly the same, but they’re generally reliable, as long as you maintain them. Maybe get AAA before you go, just in case.

I’d never bet against an okay Toyota making it a few hundred more miles. Just drive calmly and no drama.

No problem, these are rookie numbers.

My '98 made the Denver to Seattle trip at least five times. It can definitely do it. Just make sure to check all the fluids and keep an eye on it.

Absolutely! Assuming you’ve kept up with basic maintenance like timing belt, oil changes, and such, it’ll have no trouble with that trip.

Make sure you’ve got tire chains or snow socks for going up to Big Bear.

I thought you were going to drive super efficiently and try to make it in one tank. Yeah, I think you’ll be fine.

It’s a definite yes. Just make sure all basic maintenance is done before you head out.

The paint looks to be in great shape .

I had someone sand the hood, roof, and trunk, then repaint them because I really like the car.

100% – I used to drive my '01 from North GA to Atlanta every day with no issues.

That’s amazing.

Mine had 275k miles when I sold it. It’ll outlive you .

You’re good to go. Just hit the road like a champ.

Easily, bro. Easily.

Looks like if you do run into a problem, you’ll have plenty of people to call. Seriously though, that’s not high mileage for an Avalon. We’ve got an '07 with similar miles, and I’d drive it anywhere.
