It took a long road trip from Seattle to Florida and back. Sharing a bit of the journey. Anyone else do a similar trip?
Ouray is one of the coolest towns I’ve ever been to.

Totally agree. Here’s a picture from the trip: https://placehold.co/600x400.png

Haha, no! I’m an insurance adjuster, so the ladder came with me.

Makes sense! I work on exteriors up in Calgary. We had a ton of adjusters come through after the big hailstorm.
Nice trip! I did Houston to Colorado Springs last year. Such a smooth drive.

Yeah, the drive was made so much better by having radar cruise control. First time using it and it’s a lifesaver on long trips.
@Mikel
Radar cruise is awesome … until someone cuts in and your car slams the brakes. Lol.

I did the same trip. After you pass Amarillo, it’s just nothing for miles.
From America’s Brain to its Wang and back … that’s a journey!
That sounds amazing. We’re planning a honeymoon in Colorado. Hope you enjoyed Tampa, even with the hurricanes.

Colorado is great. Around Ouray, there’s so much to see … Silverton, Telluride, and more. Tampa wasn’t bad for me—work kept me busy as an adjuster, but man, the heat is brutal!
Wow, that’s one heck of a drive!
I’ve done parts of those routes but not all at once. How long did each leg take you?

I left Seattle at 6:00am Monday and got to Tampa by 4:00pm Thursday, so about 4 days. From Tampa to Albuquerque took 2 days. The rest was hard to count since I spent time in Ouray, explored Utah, visited Dinosaur National Monument, and stopped at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum.
@Mikel
Wow, you made good time! Last time I drove from Florida to Washington, it took me longer … but I had animals with me and had to do shorter days. I’m itching to hit the road again. Love exploring the country!
What kind of mileage did you get on the trip?
