I got it, and I’m glad I did.
My ‘17 Touring had multiple repairs covered—AC unit, catalytic converter, head gaskets. The warranty paid for itself a few times over.
If you do get one, negotiate hard. I got mine down to about $700, which made it a no-brainer.
Make sure you get a good deal if you decide to buy it. I got my extended warranty for $600 after negotiating. Used it three times so far, and it’s more than paid for itself.
I got the 10-year, 100k mile warranty for $100 over cost. Seemed like a solid deal since modern cars are packed with electronics.
Just keep in mind, it’s really only a 7-year warranty since it starts at the original purchase date. You also don’t have to buy it immediately—Subaru lets you add it later before the original warranty expires.
