Finally got my 2025 Camry XLE tinted after a week… Happy with the result?

I finally had my 2025 Camry XLE tinted after a week. I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

Is the tint on your windshield legal? It looks great.

It looks darker in the picture. The tint is ceramic and barely noticeable inside the car. Florida isn’t very strict about tint laws.

Do you like the ride and gas mileage?

Only after about 200 miles, so I’m not sure about the accuracy of the average. Currently, it’s showing 42.2. It’s a big improvement from my old 2018 Corolla SE. The ride and the quietness inside are great.

@eglay
I reset mine right after I got it from the dealership. So my average is based on all my miles.

I reset mine after 5 miles. Not much reason to reset. But they suggested driving for about 500-600 miles and using a full tank of gas. Engine and battery need to break in, and the adaptive system learns your driving habits. I’m interested to see if that’s true.

@eglay
Wow, it learns your driving patterns? That’s surprising. I didn’t think about breaking the battery in either. This new technology is a bit challenging for me.

Same here. There’s a lot of discussion about breaking in the engine and everything. But the manual says to follow it, so I’m trusting Toyota engineers on this. I’m about halfway through taking care of this car. Soon I’ll be ready to drive more freely.

I’m jealous of the emblem overlays. Can’t wait to have mine installed.

Thanks, same to you!

I need to ceramic tint my windshield as well.

If you often park in direct sunlight, it’s definitely worth the cost. Getting into the car isn’t as uncomfortable.

I’m considering it. I don’t want it too dark, but with a black car, I want to reduce the summer heat.

I always used basic tint before. This is my first time using ceramic, which is higher quality. It’s definitely worth it. There’s a big difference if you drive in a hot climate.

What percentage tint did you use on the windshield? It looks great.

I used 3M Ceramic IR. It’s 15% on the main windows and I believe 85% on the windshield. It’s the minimum tint, but I wanted good UV protection on the windshield. It makes a big difference in direct sunlight.
