First time buyer… is this a good deal on a 2025 Camry SXE?

For that price, why not go for a Lexus?

Trying to stay under 40k

If it’s within your budget, go for it. It’s a solid car

Make sure to get gap insurance

Paying with cash

You should be aiming for $36,425 plus tax out the door. Try to get them to drop the price of the moonroof, mats, and door edge guards.

So around $39k out the door. Are you putting any money down?

Thanks, that’s helpful. Paying cash.

Price sounds too high

It’s not a direct comparison, but I bought the same car last year in Ohio with 7.8% sales tax. Mine had a few extras like mud guards, rear bumper cover, and LED trunk light. Total price out the door was $40,961, paid in cash.

@Zev
Thanks, that’s really useful.

That’s too high. My local dealer in Texas gave me $4k off MSRP. Got the XSE Premium Plus for $40,695 out the door

Yeah, I know prices can vary a lot by region. Like in the south, sedans might not be as popular, so discounts are better. Could be a stereotype though. Still, appreciate it.

Car prices change a lot depending on where you are. Go check KBB or NADA for your zip code. They use data from tag offices and such, so you’ll see what people really pay.

There aren’t many folks on this forum buying the exact same car, so a few replies won’t give you the full picture.

We don’t know which options or extras your car has either.

@Zoran
Shouldn’t the second image show all the options and extras?

Yeah, KBB.com should have all that info

Sorry, I meant the second image in my post has the details about the car’s features

@Alex_1
Oh, I see. Still, it’s up to you to look up the value on KBB. I’m not doing that part for you.
