First time modding with Molle Panels... anyone else tried this?

I just added some Molle panels and basic gear to my setup. First mod, but I’m happy with the result! Would love to hear how others are using their panels for organizing.

I did the same thing but added a top shelf. I keep my diaper bag, blankets, towels, and extra clothes on it. The wipes, cream, paper towels, and sanitizer are on the panels. It keeps everything organized just like you said.

Do the panels or top shelf make any noise or rattle? I’m curious if that’s a problem.

No, I put clear tape where metal touches metal just in case it would rattle. You can’t even see the tape, and I didn’t want to take everything apart to check if it was needed.

That looks really nice.

I love my panels for camping. I use a pouch for my glasses, headlamp, and other small stuff when I go to sleep.

Which panels did you pick? Rago stuff is really pricey!

I didn’t want to spend $200 per panel. I went with these from Amazon: Link.

@IvankaMoore
Thanks! I was actually checking those out.

Not really into mods, but those panels look like they could be useful.

What did you bolt that into? Did you need to drill?

It uses a custom bolt insert. I got parts from some 3D models and made my own version to fit the panel. It’s not in the picture, but now it fits better. I just need to take the panel off to tighten everything with the bolt tightener.

Looks great, and the rod holders are a nice touch. I need something like that myself.

Thanks! I plan on reprinting it with some heat-resistant filament soon. It’s been a fun project!

Just remember those panels aren’t designed for the weight, so don’t overload them.

This happens all the time. People either overload the panels or just add the same three things (first aid kit, fire extinguisher, or a shovel). These mods seem to be more about looks than practicality these days.

For me, it’s mostly to stop small things from bouncing around in the truck.
