Got multiple engine codes… parking brake stuck?

Started my car today and got a bunch of error codes on the dash. Now the parking brake won’t release. It’s a new car, so this is pretty frustrating. Any ideas before I get it towed?

Saw online that it could be a loose gas cap… did you get gas recently? Might be worth checking, but those codes don’t really seem related.

Since you cleared them and they came back right away, that means the issue is still active. Could be a bigger problem. I’d get it checked out—should be covered under warranty.

Yeah, not really what I expected five weeks into owning a brand-new car. Guess I’ll be calling the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

Machines break sometimes… doesn’t make it less annoying though. Hopefully, it’s an easy fix.

Car starts fine, but the codes won’t go away. Gonna try moving it in and out of the garage, but if nothing changes, I’ll at least need to get it to the street for a tow.

Had something similar happen with my 2018 Forester while driving on the highway—dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Ended up being a weak battery, and a replacement fixed everything.

Your car is new, but if it sat in the cold for a while before you bought it, the battery could be weak. Could also be a loose battery terminal. Might be worth checking before calling a tow truck.

Good call, I’ll check the connections. Haven’t even taken it off pavement yet, so I’d be surprised if something came loose. Hoping Subaru covers the tow since it’s under warranty. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow. Appreciate the input!

Did you ever figure this out? Just had the exact same thing happen to my 2023 Forester… only had it for two months. Super weird and frustrating.
