I’ve actually just replaced mine a few months ago. They started making noise and leaving streaks.

That’s the plan. I was hoping to keep them as long as I could and just replace the inserts.
Anyone else have issues with chattering wipers, especially in light rain?

Tried a few different brands but still get streaks… makes driving in rain really annoying.
Has anyone tried the silicone types? They’re supposed to last a bit longer.

Thanks
I usually go for Bosch Ion wipers. They cost a bit more. Unfortunately, my Venza still hasn’t arrived… It got to the port about two weeks ago, so fingers crossed it’s soon.

What port are they holding it at? Mine’s stuck in Long Beach (CA) at the moment. Dealer said it’s likely waiting on a part and mentioned there are a few others like that under quality check.
@Blane
Not really sure. Last update I got was that it’s here in the country, but they’ll let me know when it’s ready for transport. I’m not rushing, so I didn’t push them too hard.

Gotcha, thanks. Was hoping to check since it seems like we’re both playing the waiting game.

Only one with my color and options coming into my dealer anytime soon, so I’m hanging on to that. Toyota’s site now says early November.

I saw my status updated online yesterday too… they’re estimating within the next two weeks for mine. Also a rare color combo, so just have to sit tight. At least it looks like they’re moving things along.
The wipers I had were driving me crazy. The first pair from Toyota (they called them OEM but it was actually another brand) started skipping and leaving streaks. I tried Bosch blades, and they worked for a bit but then started skipping too. I finally went back to Toyota’s original wiper blades with new inserts, and it’s been smooth since.
@Unclewaffl3s
I like the Toyota originals more than anything else out there, even compared to what Toyota dealers sell. If I had to pick a backup, Trico wipers would be my choice, though they still don’t match the originals.

How much do those inserts run? Where did you get them from?

You can find Toyota inserts either directly from the dealer or on the Toyota parts website. Just need to look up the right part number.
@Unclewaffl3s
OEM actually stands for ‘Original Equipment Manufacturer,’ which doesn’t mean it’s made by Toyota themselves. They just use parts from different suppliers, but if it’s the same part they put in their new cars, it’s still considered OEM.
