I got my TRD Pro two months ago and have already driven 2000 miles. I usually get about 400 miles per tank, sometimes 420 at best. I use ECO mode about half the time, but my gas mileage has only been around 15.7 mpg. It’s not close to the 17/22 they advertise. I still love the truck though—the ride is smooth, and the camera makes parking a breeze. I have the V6 dual turbo hybrid, and my previous 2021 Gladiator managed 380 miles on an 18-gallon tank.
So, what range are you getting on your truck? Mine has a 32-gallon tank. 400 miles feels like my average. Let me know!
Just a heads up, the truck says it’s out of gas when there’s still about 7 gallons left.

Yeah, I’ve never seen a vehicle with such a big reserve.

This seems to be a Toyota thing. My 2020 Highlander is the same.

It’s kind of overkill if you ask me.
@WilliamMia
Totally agree, even 3 gallons would be more than enough.

If you keep driving past empty, the computer will adjust over time. It did for me with my 2021 Tundra.

I thought the reserve was closer to 4 gallons.

A lot of people say they get worse mileage in ECO mode compared to normal or sport. It seems ECO is only helpful for stop-and-go city driving.
I have a 2024 Tundra with a 3-inch lift and 35s. My range is about 330 miles on a 32-gallon tank.

Don’t forget—when the light comes on, you still have about 7 gallons left.

You probably have a smaller tank, like the 22-gallon one on my 2024 SR5.

Nah, mine’s definitely 32 gallons. I just get terrible mileage because of the lift and tires.
@Asa
I’ve filled close to 29 gallons on my 2024 1794. So the reserve is probably about 3 gallons, good for around 60 miles.

I have an 18’ 1794 with a 38-gallon tank, and it does the same. The gauge says empty, but I can only fill up 28-30 gallons.
@Asa
Are you sure it’s a 32-gallon tank? I get 580 miles on a tank with my 24’ Tundra and a similar setup.

Not possible with a 32-gallon tank.

How do you guys put up with this mileage? My Sierra with the baby Duramax gets about 600 miles a tank, and I’ve got coilovers and a roof tent installed.

Something’s wrong. My buddy’s 6-inch lift with 35s still gets 17 city and 20 highway.
@Asa
Wait, 32-gallon tank? I thought Toyota only offered smaller ones in earlier models.

You need the Convenience Package to get the bigger 32-gallon tank.
