How much would it cost to get an STI under 4 seconds 0-60?

I’m wondering how much it’d cost and what modifications would be needed to get an STI under 4 seconds for 0-60. I’m also debating whether to go with a Golf R or an STI. From what I’ve found, a Stage 1 setup on the Golf R can get it into the high 3s for 0-60.

There’s better cars if all you care about is a consistent sub 4 second 0-60

Yeah, our Ioniq 5 is probably as fast as my old STI, and that had a built motor, Blouch turbo, injectors, a tune, exhaust, and more. It doesn’t make the cool VRROOOMM sounds, but I don’t have to fill it up with gas every 3 days either.

Both cars will need modifications to get under 4 seconds. So just pick the one you like more, and then start modding. The STI, although ending production in 2021, is a bit dated with the same engine since 2004, but it’s a popular car with tons of aftermarket parts available.
