How to Change the Satnav Language to English in a Toyota Celsior

Hello,

I have a 1997 facelift VVTI Toyota Celsior. I searched for information on changing the Satnav to English, but the answers varied. I read somewhere that the Celsior has a different Satnav console unit compared to the Lexus LS400. This means it might not be a simple plug-and-play swap, as the wiring and plugs could be different.

Is it possible to buy a Lexus LS400 navigation unit and plug it into the Celsior? Additionally, should I consider swapping the navigation box CD/DVD drive located in the trunk/boot and loading one of the navigation CDs to localize it to the UK?

I want to keep the car original and would prefer not to go down the Android route if possible.

Thank you for any advice in advance.

It’s a JDM car, it will be Japanese only the nav is so old I doubt it will be of any use - time to go aftermarket or retrofit something from a modern Toyota like a touch
