I have a 2020 LE and I accidentally reversed over a curb in a parking lot with my rear driver side tire. I think only that one tire went over the curb and I quickly drove forward off it. I checked the tire and the back of the car and it all looked okay. I also drove afterwards and even reached about 60 mph and nothing felt wrong. I’ve read other posts on this forum about curb hits but I’m still a bit anxious since I just got the car last year. Do you think it’s fine or should I get it checked?
If you went under 10 mph you’re probably fine. You can roll over a curb at like 2 mph and it won’t usually cause any damage. Just check your tire sidewalls and look for any bulges or cracks. Was it a straight-on hit (like a speed bump) or more from the side?
It was perpendicular but the tire went up over the curb. I’m not sure what speed I was going but I was in a parking lot so maybe around 10 mph.
Probably fine. As long as your steering wheel doesn’t shake when driving fast, it’s likely there’s no serious damage.
