Installed an Android head unit on my 2017 IS 300

I just bought a 13-inch dudu7 head unit for my Honda Civic 2012. I’m excited because the audio chip on it is a lot better than what my car comes with and the amp in the head unit is 2x stronger and much cleaner. Plus, the mic is better, and it even has a 360-degree camera system. Kinda insane honestly, lol. Comes with a backup camera too.

I completely understand; it truly transforms the infotainment system. It no longer feels outdated.

That’s exactly how I feel—it really gives the car new life when it’s old. Plus, I’m throwing in some new Morel speakers because the stock speakers on the Civic are horrible.

Looks great! Looks like factory installed :ok_hand:. Does it still have all the factory functionality - Bluetooth, steering wheel controls etc.? I’ve a '17 IS which my daughter drives mostly, and the lack of CarPlay is very frustrating!

@Harper
It retains everything. If you need to revert to the original screen, simply press the menu button for a few seconds. It’s a game changer from that tiny display that was there before. It has the knob control plus touchscreen now…I prefer using the knob…hating seeing prints on the screen.

@Caden
Can you please send me a link to what you bought?

Shouldn’t this one work for a 2015 IS350 Fsport as well? Entered it into that listing and it says it won’t fit?

Does your IS350 come with a full-screen display? My IS had like a 6” LCD display.

@Caden
Oh that’s right; I think starting in 2016 it was a bigger screen. Thanks, man!

What’s the unit called? Also, any idea if it works on a 2017 Lexus NX200t? It looks like the same stock screen…
