I just bought a 2025 Camry SE and got the extended warranty up to 125k miles for $1,600. Also added a $900 package for key fob replacement, windshield coverage, dent repair, and tire/wheel damage. If I had more time to think about it, I might have negotiated the price down, but at the end of the day, it’s all about peace of mind.
I got the 75,000-mile maintenance package. I pay $30 extra a month, and it covers all maintenance until then. By the time I finished negotiating the car price, I was too mentally drained to argue over this too. No idea if it was worth it yet.
@Zinn
It’s probably not worth it. They count on people getting exhausted during negotiations and saying yes. If you do the math, regular maintenance will likely cost less over time.
