Got some new lenses on my 2003 and it’s honestly looking way fresher. Makes me feel like it’s new again. What do you guys think?
Crazy how much of a difference new headlights can make… your car looks almost brand new!

Right? It’s wild how many people ignore their foggy old lights. You see yellow headlights everywhere.
@Blane
Yeah, it’s like people just get used to it or something.
Man, your car’s over 20 years old and it looks almost new… that’s impressive.

Thanks! I’m the original owner, and I’ve tried to keep it in good shape. Just don’t look at the back… needs a bit of bodywork.
Did they coat the lenses after sanding them down?

Honestly, I’m not sure. I had it done at a shop, and they didn’t mention anything about UV clear coat. It’s a reputable place, but I just didn’t think to ask.
@SophyGenesis
You might want to check… they can get yellow again real quick without that coating.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I had that issue before and ended up hunting for new lenses. Pretty sure they didn’t put on a UV coat.
That car’s a real cutie… love it .
I’ve always wondered how practical it is to swap out all the capacitors in old cars. Most of them only last around 20 years if you’re lucky, and then stuff just starts acting weird. It would be cool if someone did a full replacement and shared the results. These cars aren’t getting any younger, and it’s only a matter of time before the electronics go bad, like those old game consoles from the 90s.
Feels like it’s 2003 all over again… nice work.
Adorable car .
How many miles are on it now?

185k. Just put a new battery in too.
That’s some serious Bush-era vibes right there.
Did the same with my '03 Gen 1 a few years back when parts were easier to find. Made a big difference, both in looks and how well it works at night.
