I just bought a metallic green 2025 Forester Touring Edition, and I’m loving all the features. It’s got everything I could want… except a compass? My wife’s Limited model has one on her rearview mirror, but because mine has the digital rearview mirror, there’s no compass symbol. How am I supposed to tell which direction I’m heading?
My 2024 Outback Touring has a compass on the display in front of the steering wheel. It’s one of the options along with speed, radio info, tire pressure, and other stuff.

For 2025 Forester Touring models with the smart rearview mirror, Subaru removed Homelink and the compass from the factory setup. Subaru said the Ascent mirror with part number 86374XC00B is a direct replacement if you want those features.
You might need to set up the widget on your display. They removed the compass and Homelink from the Touring mirror with the camera, for some reason.

Why not just use the navigation system? By the way, I didn’t know the 2025 has a digital rearview mirror—that’s awesome. I love it on my other car.
You can find the compass by scrolling through the options using the controls on the steering wheel. It’s in the list of features you can toggle through.
