Land Cruiser 300 Series 2025 update

Excited to share the latest updates for the 2025 Land Cruiser 300 Series:

• Digital Instrument Cluster (same as the 250 Series)
• New infotainment technology with updated software (same as the LX600)
• Updated lane departure system
• DVD slot replaced with auxiliary space and 2 additional buttons (Security switch and 360 view)
• Revamped AC controls

I can’t afford to watch the video.

They didn’t split the tailgate so who cares lol

Biggest disappointment of the truck.

Bling!

Unpopular opinion alert. It’s a gaudy looking vehicle that will be exclusively used as a mall crawler for moms with a single kid and old men with more money than sense whining about cylinder counts. I mean you probably grew up with 5+ liter V8s putting out the same power as a Corolla. Anyway, if you want to complain about the 250 not being a ‘real’ Land Cruiser, then this isn’t either. At least the 250 looks the part, and it’s an actually good looking vehicle. But if you want a ‘real’ Land Cruiser, the 70 series is what you really want. That’s the heart and soul of what Land Cruiser stands for, at least in the opinions I see around the internet. The 300 series is now a luxury cruiser like the Range Rover, neither of which will ever see more than a grass field at the local pumpkin patch and apple orchard.

@Cort
Will be the mall in Dubai, as they are not available to North America.

@Cort
Qatar.

Albeit true, if someone wants to use it for whatever purpose, let em it’s their money. We can still laugh, but no need to berate or ostracize them. I use my 100 series as a daily driver due to its reliability and my fascination with Toyota. I don’t often if at all get to go off-roading or camping due to my job and wife, kid, kid#2 on the way, and pets. But if we load up to go to the park, inclement weather hits, camping, or bad stuff, my Land Cruiser is ready to support us. Does that mean I’m unworthy of my LC? Nah, not at all.

Same same! Wife, 3x kids, pets, we live a normal life and the reliability of my 100 is #1, Safety #2, and #3 is for all those scenarios where it might otherwise be questionable. Currently dealing with a foot+ snow. Jump a curb to get out of a dangerous situation. Maneuver like it’s a mid-size sedan.

@LisaLovesToyota
Basically summed up my life besides having more kids and snow. Reliability is unmatched, safety for me and my family, space, and ease of maintenance. I hope to convince my wife to get an LC 200 one day as a family car. Would rather have all the benefits and safety of that than something else.

I agree with you, but I feel like the audience that u/Fancy_Ad2056 was targeting was those folks immediately disregard the 250, and troll the comment sections here to spout off as such, pointing out that the 300 ‘wagon’ series is just as much a departure from the utilitarian legacy of the Land Cruiser as the ‘light duty’ or ‘Prado’ line is, and that if you insist on being a purist, then the 70 series should be the only one that counts. Most of us, however, are able to appreciate each branch of the LC lineage for what it is.

@Beck
Yes, this exactly. I’m sure the 300 is a sweet ride too!

…or just get a basic UN spec with steel rims?

If it doesn’t have a tailgate, it’s not a Land Cruiser.

40 series doesn’t. Troopy doesn’t. Single cab 70 series doesn’t. Pov pack trim 60 series 80 105 series 200 series have Barn Doors not split tailgate. Lotta not LandCruisers!

Good point. I guess I should have said ‘if it doesn’t have a tailgate, I’m not buying it!’ I’ve been daily driving a 2000 100 series for 10 years and I don’t have anything to upgrade to.

Obviously, you haven’t driven a 200 yet.

I have but it didn’t feel that much nicer to me and I preferred the visibility of the 100. I do need to get in one again though. Power wise definitely a big upgrade.

I wish these were gonna be available in the US. Just to see them on (ideally off but let’s be honest) the roads would be sweet.
