My daily has 165k on it and still runs great… is that normal?

This is my regular car. It’s been through a lot and has over 165,000 miles now, but it’s still going strong. I don’t worry too much about how it looks inside — I care more about how it drives.

But you’re not selling it… you’re the one driving it. You deserve a decent space.

Fair point. Just to explain, the steering wheel is peeling badly, the interior panels make noise, the stereo sucks, and I’ve gotten lazy with cleaning. It’s not disgusting — no trash or anything — just pretty worn out. Still, I like how simple it is. No fancy features, just fun to drive with a stick, all-wheel drive, and snow tires. It’s a blast in winter.

You can grab a cheap steering wheel cover. For the rattles, it might be a busted weld inside the door — that’s easy to fix with a rivet. Hit a self-service car wash and use the vacuums — they’re strong and make a big difference inside. You’ll feel a lot better about the car after that. Better than putting a bumper sticker that says ‘Don’t laugh, it’s paid for.’

Same here. I use my Impreza for errands like Costco runs. Otherwise, if it’s just me, I’m on my bike.

With that kind of view, I’d say the car will keep going just fine.
