Fair enough about the Highlander. I’ll be excited for anything new because it might drop prices on current models, and I’m ready. I’m not expecting solid-state batteries anytime soon, but our older 450h is still running well. And ugh, the 550h+, yeah, I know it’s barely available (I see four new ones for sale within a 500-mile radius). It’s just too expensive for the family hauling I plan to do. Maybe I’ll end up with a used EV9 if Toyota doesn’t come up with something, breaking my usual rule and paying for an extended warranty.

There’s something in the works… That’s all I can say.

My parents just got a 2025 Highlander Hybrid Platinum after searching since summer. They were very specific about colors and no tow hitch. When I saw one that matched their specs, they called the dealer as soon as they opened. I can’t believe it wasn’t already sold. Keep looking, and you might get lucky too!
@Martina
Yup! I’ve been searching for about a year. Found one online and reserved it that day. The lucky part? Someone had reserved it a week before but didn’t want it, and that’s how I snagged it.
Any links to the 2026 Highlander? YouTube is full of AI-generated stuff; I’m looking for something real.
Wait, is Toyota really coming out with a Highlander redesign in 2026? A next-gen?
Wait, 2026 is going to blow your mind with the Highlander!
The 2025 models are really hard to find. I got lucky that my dealer had one in the showroom, and I’ve had it for a month. I agree with Jack’s comment below: never get a first-gen.

I wouldn’t say they are extremely hard to find. I had some trouble in Maryland, but once I broadened my search, plenty of cars were available. Eventually, even Maryland dealers updated me about new allocations. Other areas might have different experiences. You’ll probably have to reserve one with a dealer.
@Soren
I’m in Ontario, Canada, and even if you talk to dealers, there’s really nothing available; everything is on order. I’ll say one thing about the Highlander: I was a Tacoma guy, traded my truck for a Highlander, and I absolutely love it.
@Fern
Yes, it’s a pretty straightforward process if you’re willing to wait. People likely won’t find them on lots, though.
