My mom is giving away her 2013 Camry hybrid, and I’m considering it. I’ve been driving my 2005 Honda Accord for years (185k miles), and it’s been super reliable with no issues at all. I was planning on keeping it until it literally falls apart. How do people feel about 2013 Camry hybrids? How long do the batteries last, and how costly is it to replace them? Any other things I should consider? Would love to hear from some experts! Thanks!
Those Toyota hybrid drivetrains are rock solid and will last forever. Definitely take it.
Take the Camry and keep your Honda as a backup car, unless keeping both is too expensive with insurance.

Adding a second vehicle to your insurance is usually pretty cheap compared to the first one.
@Wil
Exactly! I have an old Accord, and GEICO gave me a good rate for adding a second vehicle.

Good plan!
It’s an easy decision to take the newer car. Your Honda’s been reliable, but eventually, things like belts, joints, and suspension parts will start to wear out. That’s just how cars work. The Camry could last you another 20 years, but the Honda might not unless you put money into fixing things as they break.
You’d be crazy to not take a free car!
Yes, take it!
Definitely take it, but how many miles are on the 2013 Camry?
The Honda is great, but Toyota hybrids are awesome. As for the battery, it might need replacement for better mpg after 10 years, but the batteries are usually cheap and easy to replace.
