So are people still into third gens or what?

I did the thing. Lift and big tires. Trying to keep from considering a new truck payment :grimacing:

Man, third gens are always going strong.

I’m about to grab a 4th gen, but honestly, I wish they stuck with the 3rd gen style and just improved everything else. The 3rd gen just looks perfect.

I felt the same when I went from a 2nd gen to a 3rd gen years back. The 3rd gen seemed too aggressive at first. I’d have been fine with a 2nd gen look but upgraded insides. The 2nd gen’s interior was just way too dated.

@Cedar
Yeah, I get it. The 4th gen will be awesome, but there’s always that bit of nostalgia, right?

What kind of setup do you have? Tires, rims, lift? Looks amazing!

Thanks! Got 285/70R17 Ridge Grapplers with Fuel Rebel bronze rims. Lift is Bilstein 6112—3 inches in front, 2 in the back. No rubbing, didn’t even have to touch the mud flaps. I think the bronze wheels and amber lights really pop in the gray weather up here.

Not usually a fan of Fuel rims, but the bronze is so clean.

Thanks! What rims do you like? There are a ton of options.

I’m into Method, Black Rhino, and Nomad. Can’t forget the TRD Pro wheels either!

I plan on rocking my 3rd gen for the next 20 years!

I’m seriously thinking about getting a 3rd gen Tacoma and want a setup just like this. Could you break down what you did? Tire size too?

Go for it! I used Bilstein 6112 for the lift—3 inches in the front, 2 in the back. Tires are 285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers with bronze Fuel Rebel rims. A local shop handled the lift and tires for me.

What offset are the wheels? -10?

Nope, just 0. The lift makes it look like there’s more poke than there really is.

I went with 0 offset too.

@Clovis
I like the aggressive poke look on some trucks here, but I didn’t want to commit to it. Might try spacers just to see how it looks.

Sweet truck, dude!

Love the grill. Can you drop a link?

Sure thing! I got it from YotaLEDs. It came with the raptor lights and wiring.
