So my Subaru insurance dropped… why tho

@Quinn
Nah, that’s every 6 months, not monthly.

Progressive quoted me $180 per month here in Arkansas.

I pay $414 every 6 months… was around $250 when I was married.

Shoulda stayed married lol.

@Taran
Yeah, if she hadn’t cheated.

Oof… well, here’s to wife #2 treating you better.

@Misha
I was gonna ask where someone pays only $400 every 6 months for full coverage… then I saw Arkansas. Makes sense now.

Welcome to the world of Subaru owners lol. My insurance went down when I traded my 2008 Impreza for a 2021 Crosstrek. It’s not exactly a ‘fast car’ and most buyers are older, so insurance companies probably see them as lower risk. Love my Crosstrek though, it’s been great for camping.

@StarlightSpecter
I went from a 2010 Impreza to a 2021 Crosstrek and mine went up. I think it’s because my husband just started driving five years ago… in his 40s.

Edit: Mine is the Limited trim, maybe that’s why?

You do NOT live in California. I hate insurance here.

Nope, I live on 60 acres of woods and fields… but I still hate insurance companies lol.

Sounds like paradise.

You Americans are paying crazy rates. We pay $890 AUD for full coverage on our brand-new 2024 Crosstrek 2.0S. That’s about $590 USD per year. Do you think it’s because of the huge population difference?

@Katnis
I think it’s because insurance companies here have lobbyists that let them charge whatever they want. Just my two cents.

Used to work at State Farm—insurance on Subarus is cheaper because of their high safety ratings and the fact that most drivers don’t get into as many accidents. Plus, they’re cheaper to repair than other brands.

@Vinn
This is actually super helpful, thanks!
