Should be a CVT with a timing chain, and usually these don’t have the classic head gasket problem.
Ah, I thought it was a 2012 at first. You’re right — the F series engines came in around 2013 or 2014.

Start with the VIN and check for any recalls. Then see how often it’s been serviced. At that mileage, I wouldn’t pay more than $5,000 to $6,000 total. That’s just me, though.
This model does have some nice features compared to older ones, but I think 208K is just too high. If it’s more than $6K, I’d keep shopping.
Start getting quotes and save up — big repairs could be around the corner.
Valve body and torque converter problems are common in this year of Outback… not sure if head gaskets are still a thing on 2014s?

Head gaskets shouldn’t be an issue, but valve covers and cam seals are probably due if they haven’t already been changed.
Wow, that’s about 330,000 km. Respect. But yeah, better start saving — it could cost more to fix than it’s worth. You’re brave!
Best case? It runs just fine. Worst case? Head gasket blows.
Keep an eye on oil and look out for leaking head gaskets or cam trays.
