That thing’s a beauty… I’d joke it’s worth $100k!
But seriously, I wouldn’t let mine go for under $20k. Problem is, I doubt anyone would actually pay that much.

Yeah, nobody is offering close to 20k anymore
@Tavi
Someone out there will pay 20 if you’re patient. There just aren’t any hatchbacks left these days.

I don’t think anyone would drop that on a WRX… maybe on an STi though.

I get that. I probably wouldn’t even sell mine for 20 to be honest!
@Tavi
If it’s a WRX, I’ll throw in $10k. STi? Someone else might actually offer 20k.

And so the lowball offers begin
If it’s a 2014 WRX hatch with no mods, low mileage, desert car, and the outside looks great, you’re off to a good start. Is it manual? If it hasn’t been in a wreck and the maintenance is up to date (like timing belt work, no leaks around the steering or head covers), and the inside is clean too, then you’re solid.
If it all checks out, $16k sounds fair. Depends a lot on where you are though. You’ll compete with newer VAs, but hatch lovers don’t mind. The right buyer might go $18k+ if it’s clean and manual. Expect offers around $12k anyway. Around here, they go from $6k up to $23k depending on condition. Some folks way overprice their mods though. Saw one for $19k that was a white STi with a built IAG block, only 5k miles on the engine (140k on body), with decent upgrades and a tune.
Mine’s a basic narrow body with a stick, no mods, around 130k miles, small hail dents and one accident. Probably worth around $9k in my area.
@eucabeth
That sounds pretty accurate. Got offered $8.5k on Facebook… felt kind of insulting
@eucabeth
Pretty sure all the hatches were manuals only. No autos for that one.
Plasma Blue Pearl is honestly my favorite. I might end up selling my 2011 STi hatch in the same color. No mods, no issues, full service records, always adult owned, 105k miles and still rocking the original clutch.
@Zeke
Are we the same person? Sounds exactly like mine… except for the year.
@Zeke
Same here with my 2013 sedan. No mods, no issues. Clean as can be.
Ugh… I can tell by the background that you’re nowhere near me. I’m in Vermont.
Always wanted one of those blurple hatches
If your WRX is clean and not modified with low mileage, I think $18k is a fair floor. I’d love to buy it myself but I’ve already got too many car payments. My ‘09 WRX was the best car I’ve owned.

Facebook is full of people throwing $10k offers at me
@Tavi
Hang in there. Might want to check out Cars and Bids. If it’s really stock, it might do well there.
@Tavi
Don’t take those offers. A stock WRX is hard to find now. Wait for the right person—they’ll pay.
@Tavi
Drive it to Virginia and I’ll hand you $14k.
