Thinking About Trading My 2019 Tacoma for a 2013 Tundra… Good Idea?

I’m stuck on what to do here. I have a 2019 Tacoma RWD V6 with the X Series package, only 51,000 miles (clean title), and it’s valued at about $24,000.

I found a 2013 Tundra 5.7 V8 RWD with the XSP package, 57,000 miles (clean title), and it’s going for around $22,000. I’m really considering trading in my Tacoma for the extra power and that V8 sound. Plus, the Tundra is a beefy truck with some nice mods like aftermarket rims, tires, and upgraded headlights.

What do you guys think? Stick with the Tacoma or go for the Tundra?

Just a heads-up, you’re asking this in a Tundra group, so you already know which way most people will lean. The 2013 Tundra is a 2nd gen, which a lot of people say is the best one. Some argue the 2.5-gen is better, but either way, that’s super low mileage for its age. You’ll lose some of the newer interior features, but you’ll gain a ton of power and cabin space.

Tundras are built to last. That V8 is bulletproof, and you’ll get way more payload and towing capacity. Plus, the extra cabin space makes a big difference.

Is the Tundra 4x4 or just RWD?

It’s RWD.

Go for the Tundra! Welcome to the club in advance!
