I know I’ll get more for my truck than any Corolla on the lot, but I’m really looking for better gas mileage. Any recommendations on which model I should check out?
Been there… Traded my Tacoma for a Corolla because of my 70-mile round-trip commute. Got a 2023 Corolla SE and no complaints. I still want a truck, though, and I catch myself looking at them all the time. Just not what I need right now.
Go for a Hybrid SE or Hybrid XLE if you can find one. Honestly, for a little more, you could even get a 2025 Camry.
I have a clean 2006 Corolla with 90k miles and it still gets almost 30mpg. Ready to make a deal?
If you’re open to something slightly bigger, the 2024 Camry XSE V6 is a solid choice.
I humbly offer my 2015 Corolla S… three accidents, vents held together with a hacksaw blade, and 155,000 miles. Straight trade for the TRD Pro? I know what I got.
GR Corolla hatch is the way to go

Heard there have been some engine problems with those…
My 2024 Corolla is getting 45+ mpg on the highway, and it already has 10k miles.
Chassis has 180k miles, but the JDM swap motor probably has 60k. Brand new hybrid battery, swapped out the 18-inch rims for stock ones. No, not 300k miles, come on now… Black with a sunroof and a JDM speaker system.
Side note… That TRD Pro is absolutely beautiful.
I’ll trade you a 2010 Prius.

Prius? Probably has 300k miles… GTFO lol.
I just swapped my Corolla for a truck.

I had a 2018 Corolla and got $15,800 for it. Made the truck payments way easier.
Still driving my 2015 Corolla with 100k miles. Zero issues, barely uses gas. If you want reliability and low fuel costs, it’s the way to go. Back seat is more comfortable than a Tacoma, too.
Go for a hatchback and get a manual if you can. CVT transmissions are terrible.
Switching from a Tacoma to a Corolla is crazy. As a Corolla owner, I would NOT recommend it.
Kept my TRD Off-Road but got a Corolla hatchback for commuting. Love driving it for non-truck stuff, and I don’t see myself getting another truck in the future.
