I was driving on the highway today when the dually truck in front of me hit a blown-out tire chunk and flung it straight into my grill. Now some of the plastic is broken. It’s a new car — I’ve only had it for about a year and I’m still making payments. What should I do about this?
If you go through your insurance, make sure to say the tire chunk was airborne when it hit your car. If it was just lying on the road and you hit it, they’ll say it was your fault.
Doesn’t sound too bad. If it were me, I’d grab some superglue and try to put the pieces back together.

I did that after hitting a raccoon and it actually worked well. Would’ve looked even better if I had used fine sandpaper to smooth it out. The glue barely showed.
You could just swap out the grill. The bumpers on Camrys come off pretty easily, and the grill is held in by clips and screws. Just ask the dealership for the part number and then find it online or OEM. I replaced the upper grill on my 2019 and it wasn’t hard, just took a bit of patience.
You probably just need to change out that one part. Shouldn’t cost too much.

Actually, those parts can be some of the priciest ones…
I don’t really see anything wrong — it looks fine to me.

Oh, that little bit of damage? You’re fine. Nothing inside looks messed up. If anything had hit the alternator, then maybe… but you’re good
