Took the Slumberjack Roadhouse Tarp out for a quick overnight test…

It was a bit tricky to set up solo, but honestly not bad for my first try. I wedged a towel between the side straps and the body to cut down on strap movement if the wind kicked up.

Tear-down was easy enough. Next time I’ll close the hatch first—pulling the tarp across a dusty hatch wasn’t the smartest move.

Dog + 4Runner + camping? That’s an instant classic setup.

Watch out for that damn wolf, my guy.

How does it hold up with the rear hatch closed? Any sagging or flapping issues?

@Cort
Appreciate it! :+1:t2:

Your husky’s face says: ‘Kevin, couldn’t we have picked somewhere with snow?’

This looks great but kinda pricey. Anyone got a cheaper option?

Pretty sure I got mine on sale, but can’t remember what I paid. Kelty makes some solid alternatives—worth checking them out.

I’ve got the same tarp and it works well. Last time I didn’t have a crossbar and it made setup harder, especially with the hatch. Still, it was awesome to hang out and cook while staying dry.
