Saw this list saying Toyota and Lexus are the top reliable car brands in the US… wondering how accurate that is?
Yeah, right… Honda and Acura have more problems than Nissan and Jeep? This list is a joke.

This should just be called the JD Power bribe list. Where’s the proof? I’ve got cars from 4 brands on this list and no problems, while my friends with Toyotas and Lexuses have had their share of issues. And what about Toyota’s fire problems in the GR line that they ignored? Hyundai’s exploding sunroofs? Kia’s engine failures? Let’s be real.

JD Power counts anything as a ‘problem,’ like climate control, driving assistance, infotainment, powertrain, and even seats. So it’s not really about reliability; it’s subjective and can mean anything.

If these car companies can’t come up with the cash to get good ratings… maybe they’re just cheap. Just look at Tesla.

They had issues with two GR models, and those were modified cars (deleted posts now). Plus, this list is about cars owned since 2021. With recent problems like Tacoma transmission issues and Tundra engine problems, Toyota’s spot won’t last long.

And Chevy, Buick, and Cadillac being reliable? Sure thing.

And Subaru is high on the list? With all their issues?

And Subaru is high on the list? With all their issues?
Not really issues… more like maintenance because of the all-wheel drive.

Unless you own a BRZ.

Unless you count head gasket problems as maintenance.

RAM? Everyone I know with a RAM trades it in every few years because of problems.

Even the newer RAMs? I’m shopping for my first truck and love how they look, but I don’t want to deal with constant issues.

The data is probably off with Stellantis cars ranking high because fewer people buy them. They should factor in the small sample sizes.

Nissan’s okay except for some transmission problems. But Altima drivers who abuse their cars definitely mess up the stats. Jeep being rated high though? I don’t get it.
