Having trouble with my 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L. It’s not starting—just a single click when I turn the key. The battery seems fine, but none of the dash gauges activate. It started fine in the morning, but by the afternoon, this issue popped up. I checked the ignition fuses and even replaced the starter relay, but no luck. Could this be a wiring problem? Not sure where to start diagnosing. Any advice?
Have you checked the battery voltage? Also, does it do the same thing if you try starting it in neutral?

Battery voltage is 12.56. Tried starting it in neutral, but no difference. The headlights work fine, but the dash gauges don’t light up. I haven’t checked it with an OBD scanner yet.
12.56V sounds a bit weak. Have you done a load test on the battery?

I tried jumping it with someone’s help, and the battery voltage went up to 13.8V while charging. Still wouldn’t start, though.

Could be a bad ground connection. Check the wiring from the chassis to the engine and see if anything looks loose or corroded.
Single click usually points to bad solenoid contacts or corroded battery terminals. Have you checked for any buildup on the terminals?

There’s some corrosion on the battery terminals. Maybe that’s the issue. I’ll clean them up and see if it helps.

That could definitely cause issues. If cleaning the terminals doesn’t work, it might be worth looking into the starter solenoid. Sometimes you can get a rebuild kit for cheap.
Had a similar issue on my truck. Adjusting the steering wheel forward towards the dash somehow fixed it. Might be worth trying.
