For those of you that have installed the VC120 vapor canister for the evap system, how did you do it? '92 w/ the 3FE. I just ‘installed’ it with zip ties because the OEM clamps don’t fit it. I’ll take any advice you’ve got. I’ve searched through ih8mud and all I could find was the part number.
Try looking on YouTube. There are a lot of installation videos that might help.
If the OEM clamps don’t fit, consider looking for aftermarket clamps that might work better.
Using zip ties is okay for now, but just make sure they are secure. You don’t want it coming loose.
Sometimes modifications are needed. If it doesn’t fit perfectly, adjust the mounting points or try longer bolts.
If you need specific part numbers, local auto parts stores could help. They might have good recommendations.
